EARLY JULY WARMING TREND

EARLY JULY WARM WATER FISH AND GUIDE'S PHOTOS

When the trout streams and rivers become too warm to effectively produce good numbers of fish, I turn to the warm water fishes for dependable action in the warmer summer months of Northern New York.

The small mouth bass is by far the best battle on fly fishing tackle in lakes, rivers and ponds. Often looked down upon by anglers, this fish will test your distance casting skills and put an unforgettable bend in your rod while tail walking across the water.

Pictured are trout landed and released after a guiding trip was completed, with guiding 55 days in a row, I will fish at any given opportunity.
