Rainbow trout, also known as a bow is a vividly colored trout that swims in both rivers and lakes in the Northern ADKs, the bow was once only native to all drainage's west of The Mississippi River.
The rainbow trout is generally a product of stocking efforts in the waters of Northern NY with some wild populations that have gained a foothold in select watersheds.
